Model XG1 DICOM Gateway
The Images-on-Call PACS DICOM Gateway, Model XG1, is the industries only
Storage Service Class Provider offering Controlled Quality Wavelet
Compression™, providing the fastest image transmission over
normal telephone lines and Broadband Internet network connections.
The technologist simply ‘pushes’ a case to the XG1 Gateway,
and the Images-on-Call software handles the tasks necessary to complete
the transfer to a remote ViewStation. With Images-on-Call’s
pipelined transmission capabilities, the technologist may send other
cases while a preceding case might still be being transmitted. At
the receiving site, the radiologist or clinician has the freedom
to examine 12 bit data, allowing full range window/level manipulation
of the images. Alternately, the technologist may park images at
the sending site for later retrieval at any time, from any location.
The XG1 Gateway may also be connected to a local area network, and
configured to provide images to any number of workstations on the
network.
Gateway Features
- Storage Service Class Provider, accepts pushed images from DICOM modalities
- Images can be received from multiple DICOM modalities simultaneously
- 8, 12 and 16 bit image transmissions (modality/vendor dependent)
- Controlled Quality Wavelet Compression options optimized for each image
- Meets or exceeds the ACR recommendations for teleradiology
Model XG2 DICOM Gateway
The Images-on-Call DICOM Gateway, Model XG2, can provide “Secondary
Capture” Images to any DICOM network. The XG2 is generally
sold as an add-on to either a video capture device (such as Images-on-Call’s
Model DS11, Video DigitizerStation) or a film digitizer (such as
the Model FD5w-DP, Film DigitizerStation). The technologist or film
clerk acquires the images, and the XG2 Gateway moves the study into
the DICOM network. Of course, full teleradiology capabilities are
standard with the XG2 Gateway, allowing the technologist to send
the images directly to a remote ViewStation.
Gateway Features
- Storage Service Class User, pushes images into DICOM or PACS systems
- Receive high quality Wavelet Compressed images for DICOM storage from remote sites
- DICOM output capability for legacy video modalities and film scanners
- 8, 12 and 16 bit image transmissions (modality/vendor dependent)
- Customizable patient demographic data entry
- Meets or exceeds the ACR recommendations for teleradiology
